BA Linguistics

Linguistics is the science of language: it aims to describe language phenomena in an appropriate manner.In Stuttgart, we teach linguistics as a cognitive science. This means that by analyzing language expect to gain insights into the structures of the human mind. You can also take linguistics as a minor subject in combination with one of the following majors: English, German, History, History of Science and Technology, Art History, or Romance Studies. In the minor, you learn the basics of theoretical linguistics.
